Prof. Attilio

My name is Attilio, I'm Italian, and I've been teaching Italian since 2019. After the pandemic, I focused on online classes and became a digital nomad, to gain freedom of movement and be able to work and travel at the same time.

In addition to Italian, I also speak English, Spanish, Portuguese and French.

I’m a very patient and easygoing teacher; I like to keep an informal relationship between me and the students because I think this makes it easier for them to break the ice and not to be shy when we need to do conversations and practice talking.

My classes are very participative and based on interaction between the students and me. If students like to talk, I rarely follow textbooks, I prefer to ask more and more about what you’re telling me. They say I’m a good listener. When needed, I can also have structured classes.

I created a cultural-linguistic laboratory, called "Italiano Vivo": not a course in the traditional sense, but a place where we gather online (me and a small group of students from around the world) and use Italian to play games, practice real life situations (like ordering at restaurants), explore italian culture with movies, songs, podcasts and literature, and create together: tell stories, write dialogues.

Italian becomes a tool to have fun, not just to "answer correctly".
